Answers to the things people actually ask.
Getting started
- Do I need anything before I sign up?
- Just the basics: a business name, a rough idea of what your company does, and who's involved (you, or you plus partners). We'll flag any naming or eligibility issues before we file.
- Can you check if my business name is available?
- Yes. Before anything is submitted, we check your name against Florida's records and naming rules. If there's a conflict, we'll tell you and help you adjust.
- How long until my LLC is official?
- Online filings with the state are typically approved in one to five business days. We submit promptly and keep you posted; the approval timeline itself is controlled by the Florida Division of Corporations.
Formation
- What exactly do you file?
- We prepare and submit your Articles of Organization to the state and designate your registered agent. Once approved, your documents land in your dashboard.
- What's a registered agent, and do I need one?
- Yes — Florida requires every LLC to have one. It's the person or company that receives legal and state mail on your business's behalf at a physical Florida address. We handle the designation as part of your formation.
- What's the $125 fee?
- That's the state's filing fee, paid to the Florida Division of Corporations. We pass it through at cost and show it as its own line — we don't mark it up.
Billing
- What do I pay up front versus monthly?
- A one-time $500 launch deposit plus the $125 state fee at checkout, then your monthly plan — $149 for Essentials or $399 for Pro. Add-ons are billed by type: one-time items today, recurring items on your monthly plan.
- Can I save by paying less often?
- Yes. Quarterly saves about 10%, and annual gives you two months free. You can also finance the annual plan into payments at checkout.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, any time, from your dashboard — no phone call required. See our Refund Policy for how cancellations and refunds are handled.
After you're live
- What's this annual report I keep hearing about?
- Every Florida LLC files an annual report with the state by May 1 — it's $138.75. Miss the deadline and the state adds an automatic $400 late fee with no grace period, so we send you reminders well ahead of time.
- Can I add things later?
- Always. The store stays open. Add branding, a bigger website, more phone numbers, or social whenever your business is ready — right from your dashboard.
