- If you're inside any municipality (Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Coral Springs, Davie, and the rest), you also need that city's BTR on top of the county one.
- In unincorporated Broward, a Certificate of Use from the county's Plantation permitting office is required before the county receipt is issued.
- Tax year is October 1 to September 30; renewals mail around July 1 and go delinquent after September 30.
- County BTRs are non-refundable, and Broward does not honor receipts from other counties. Certain veterans, nonprofits, and low-income applicants may qualify for exemptions.
