Form an LLC in Boca Raton
Launching in Boca Raton, where the clock starts at occupancy
Boca Raton has a deep bench of professional services, consulting and tech firms, and home-service businesses serving a high-expectation clientele. Its local process has a wrinkle most owners miss — a deadline that starts ticking the moment you're set up.
The state step (fast)
The state approves your Articles of Organization for $125, usually within one to three business days.
The Boca Raton layer
- Boca Raton folds the Business Tax Receipt and Certificate of Use into one combined application — handled through the city's Boca eHub portal.
- You must submit that application within 15 days of tenant occupancy or your Sunbiz start date — whichever applies. The window is short, so it pays to be ready before you sign a lease or activate the LLC.
- A Palm Beach County business tax application must be submitted alongside your Boca application. As part of the process, Boca staff sign the zoning authorization on your county application. City first, then county.
- The renewal period opens July 1 and is due by September 30, with reminders mailed in August.
